Thank you, Morris Park!
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah & Happy Holidays!
As the year wraps up, we are thankful to all community members and businesses that supported the work of the Morris Park BID in our first year of activity! Thanks to all that joined the Morris Park BID first ever double celebration "Small Business Saturday" and Albanian Flag Day on November 30, enjoying treats and a beautiful sunny day in front of a newly opened local grocery store - welcome MetFresh! We were honored to nominate and to congratulate 98 years old Conti's Bakery&Pastry Shoppe, awarded by Senator Gustavo Rivera with the "NY Senate Empire State Award" for their contribution to local economic development and as pillars of the community. Congratulations, Conti's team!
Finally, we were overwhelmed by the community welcome to our first ever "Morris Park Joyful Holiday Trolley" on Sunday, December 22. Almost 400 people (398 that we could count), children and parents joined us taking pictures with Santa and the Grinch, enjoying treats from local businesses, music and...the Morris Park Trolley! Santa also respected our #shopsmall message!
We are deeply grateful for everyone's support, and will continue offering Morris Park FREE community events, open to all. During 2019 all our events have been supported by Morris Park BID members - commercial property owners, small businesses and residents of Morris Park Avenue, between Amethyst Road and Williamsbridge Road.
The Morris Park BID team wishes all - businesses, residents, local organizations and elected officials supporting our work a happy, healthy and peaceful year 2020! Morris Park BID, est. 2018

"NY Senate Empire State Award" to Morris Park Conti's
On December 12, NY State Senator Gustavo Rivera presented to 98 years old Conti's Pastry Shoppe with the "NY Senate Empire State" Award, for their contribution to economic development and as pillar of the Morris Park community. Thank you, Senator Rivera, we look forward to continue working with your office in 2020!

Small Business Saturday & Albanian Flag Day - November 30
Morris Park Avenue was the only commercial corridor in the City that had a double reason to celebrate on November 30th: Small Business Saturday and Albanian Flag Day! We had a 98 year old business, Conti's, and a brand new one, Met Fresh, supporting the event. Children enjoyed custom made cupcakes, facepainting and music on Morris Park Avenue. T hank you all that came out enjoying a sunny day after Thanksgiving, supporting our local merchants!
