Greetings!

We are excited to be back in the community this past Saturday at the All Kids Count Resource Fair.

A special thank you to Dave & Sally Wheeler and Larry Robicheaux for volunteering at this event.

Although windy and cold, we were able to set up our table inside, play some cornhole and give away t-shirts and airplanes. We talked with several families who have flown with us and shared our mission with many who had not heard of Challenge Air. There were over 200 people in attendance, and everyone is ready to get back up in the air, including all of us at Challenge Air.

We are currently recruiting for families and volunteers in preparation for our upcoming fall season. If you are interested in being a part of a future Challenge Air event, please reach out to us at givekidswings@challengeair.org. We have lots of fun things to share in this month's newsletter. Brighter days are ahead!

Blessings,

April Culver, CEO/Executive Director
2nd Virtual Fly Day scheduled for June 12th, 2021
Back By Popular Demand
If you missed our first at-home Virtual Fly Day, we are bringing it back on Saturday, June 12th, 2021. Registration will open soon for NEW Co-pilots.

The first virtual fly day link will be coming down soon. If you already have your virtual headset and want to watch it again, you will only have a few days left.
“Thanks to Challenge Air our daughter Eme was able to go on her very first flight. We are very thankful to all of the volunteers that made this amazing day possible. Eme has kept an eye to the sky and has pointed out every airplane she spots ever since her flight. She’s even learned her own version of sign language for airplane to tell us when she spots one. Challenge Air created a special memory for Eme and we will cherish that forever, thank you.” - Tyler P
Wheels Up For Fall Fly Days
We are planning our fall Fly Day schedule, meeting with committees and outlining new processes.

Which cities will we be hosting in? What precautions/changes are we implementing? How can you get signed up?
We will answer all those questions as we get closer.

Stay tuned for more details!

Pilot Spotlight
Meet Abram Finkelstein
Abram has been flying with Challenge Air since 2003 when a friend introduced him to the organization.

"My favorite memory actually occurred a few years ago when a woman came up to me and introduced herself and told me that I had flown her and her son several years prior and that it was one of the greatest experiences for him. She showed me a picture that she took that day and it brought me extraordinary happiness."
Abram has been flying for 23 years and owns an Eclipse 500. You can find him flying around his favorite destinations Hickory, NC and San Antonio, TX. "My favorite flight is over the waters between Florida and the Bahamas and the flight to Key West."
" The engine is the heart of the airplane, but its
PILOT is its soul."
- Walter Raleigh
