Comprehensive Cancer Control National Partnership Sustaining Coalitions Resources
The Comprehensive Cancer Control National Partnership (CCCNP) held a Zoom meet-up July 21 on engaging clinical and academic partners in CCC coalitions. Representatives from two National Cancer Institute-designated cancer centers and three American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC) state chairs joined the conversation. During the meet-up, the CCCNP announced the release of a guide discussing how comprehensive cancer control programs and coalitions can meaningfully engage with their CoC state chairs. Find the guide here.

The CCCNP also hosts 30-minute Zoom check-in calls every other Tuesday at 4 pm ET for coalition leaders to share challenges and solutions regarding sustaining their coalitions during the COVID-19 pandemic. Join us for the next call on August 4. Click here for Zoom information.
CANCER CONTROL SPOTLIGHT
The GW Cancer Center recently hosted a webinar entitled, "Maximizing Coalition Sustainability through Partnerships: Advancing Cancer Control Planning, Implementation & Evaluation." The Iowa Cancer Consortium delivered a presentation highlighting its efforts to diversify funding sources by cultivating diverse partners. Well-established partnerships also helped the Consortium pivot quickly to address needs arising from the COVID-19 pandemic. To read more about these initiatives, visit the GW Cancer Center's new Comp Cancer 1010 Wiki page on Funding, Resource Management and Sustainability. View the webinar slides and recording here.
