Blood Drives Taking Place in Wisconsin, Jan. 20-26
Aurora Health Care associates, their families and community members are invited to participate in blood drives during the week of January 20-26 throughout the Aurora Health Care service area. 

The blood drives are part of the Aurora Weeks of Caring program, a quarterly organized volunteer effort that builds on Aurora Health Care’s longstanding tradition of community service.  Learn more and schedule an appointment.

Cindy Novak joins Advocate Aurora Health as Faith and Health Communications Coordinator
 Novak will provide communications support for Advocate Aurora Faith and Health Partnerships, Faith Community Nurse program, and the Center for Faith and Community Health Transformation.

Resource Highlights
The Interfaith Observer (TIO) is a free monthly digital journal for those interested in advancing interfaith understanding and cooperation. TIO provides historical perspectives, surveys current interfaith news, profiles major stakeholders, and otherwise provides maps and sign-posts for the different sectors of an emerging interfaith culture.
Rev. Dr. Danielle J. Buhuro, CPE Supervisor at Advocate Aurora South Suburban and Trinity hospitals, Chicago, wrote “Spiritual Care in an Age of #BlackLivesMatter: Examining the Spiritual and Prophetic Needs of African Americans in a Violent America.” Rochelle Johnson, Faith and Mental Health Program Specialist for Advocate Health Care, contributed to the book.

Intended for anyone in academia or the helping professions, this comprehensive work benefits those seeking to provide spiritual care to African American hospital patients, counseling clients, church congregants and parishioners, military veterans, or returning service members. 
Jamie Aten and David Boan, codirectors of the Humanitarian Disaster Institute, provide a practical guide for disaster preparedness.
