Thomas Klinedinst, III is named President of the Cincinnati Insurance Board
As the Cincinnati Insurance Board moves into its 183rd year, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Thomas Klinedinst, III as CIB President.
Tom is the 182nd President for the CIB and we are proud that he follows in the footsteps of his late father, Thomas Klinedinst, Jr., who was CIB President in 1984. Both have given many generous donations of time and financial support to continue to ensure the CIB's success, and have a pronounced love and devotion for the people and industry of insurance in the Greater Cincinnati community and beyond.
Tom is a Director of Commercial and Personal Sales at Dempsey & Siders Agency, Inc., and manages sophisticated insurance programs for people and their businesses, including many initiatives with their parent company, Great American Insurance Group. In his role as President of the CIB, Tom’s focus as the CIB is to ensure the delivery of value to the CIB membership, to develop new and innovative education classes for licensing and credits, and to promote the attraction of new and creative minds into the field of insurance and for the benefit of the industry.
Tom oversees Jen Pike, Executive Vice President and the Operations of the Cincinnati Insurance Board as they move into an exciting year of growth. Please help us welcome Tom!

Oh
io Public employers’ workers comp premium rates drop 10 percent
Ohio’s public employers will pay nearly $18 million less in premiums this year to the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) thanks to a rate cut that went into effect Jan. 1.
“These lower premium rates will allow many public employers to reinvest in their businesses and workers throughout the year,” said Ohio Governor Mike DeWine.
The rate reduction means approximately 3,700 counties, cities, public schools, and other public taxing districts will pay an average of 10% less on their annual premiums than last year. It was made possible by declining injury claims and relatively low medical inflation costs.
