Greetings!
Spring has sprung here in the Phoenix area! Well, you might say 90-degree temps is summer weather, but here in the Valley of the Sun, summer brings temps regularly around 115 degrees, so yes, this is spring for us!
Spring, especially when I lived on the east coast, is my favorite season. Then, it was a sorely needed reprieve from the cold winter weather; here, not so much. But it so much about a renewal and rebirth as Nature starts waking up. Humans too! And, while we continue to be in the midst of a pandemic with severely limited activities and choices, isolation, and uncertainty, nevertheless I actually am feeling renewed and enthusiastic about life, my life.
I have to deduce it's mainly because I recently was blessed with another spiritual experience as I dove back into studying 12 Step literature with a dear friend. It was like my Higher Power returned with a gentle but firm punch and fanned my inner divine spark. I am so grateful. And, having originally "come to believe" via synchronicity, it is no coincidence that this experience occurred during the month I first joined a 12 Step fellowship (March 10, 1990)!
I'm ready for my next thing to do, and with enthusiasm ("With God"), I say "bring it on!"
Enjoy Daniel Nahmod giving a live performance of "Everything New," at Mile Hi Church in Lakewood, CO.

Inspiration and Contemplation
To Be Born Again
|
|
There is in us an instinct for newness, for renewal, for a liberation of creative power. We seek to awaken in ourselves a force which really changes our lives from within. And yet the same instinct tells us that this change is a recovery of that which is deepest, most original, most personal in ourselves. To be born again is not to become somebody else, but to become ourselves. - Thomas Merton

Keeping the High Watch
|
|
I have thought my soul required a lot more maintenance than most folks, but one of my readings today made it clear that all of us need to tenderly care for our soul. We have come from the world of Spirit to a world that has lost sight of its origin and purpose, and it’s so easy to get sidetracked by fears and illusions and to forget who we are and why we came to Planet Earth.
See if these words by Alan Cohen, excerpted from the March 31 reading in "A Deep Breath of Life," resonate with you:
We must take care to remind ourselves often about our identity and purpose. Prayer, meditation, spiritual study, and uplifting fellowship... help us stay on our spiritual track. If you do not surround yourself with reminders of your spiritual nature, the world will teach you that you belong to it, and you will feel lost and alone.
Keep the high watch. Put up inspiring pictures and quotes… listen to music that nourishes your soul. Go to restaurants, movies, and social gatherings that honor the presence of God. Choose friends who uphold you on your spiritual path.
It is within your power to build your life on the values you choose, but you must take an active role in staying awake. Step back often, take deep breaths, and check in with your spirit. Any investment you make in your spiritual growth will bless you many times over.

People Making a Difference
Southwest Airlines Does It Again!
A boy left his Buzz Lightyear inside a plane. A ramp agent made it his mission to reunite them. While waiting to get a response from the boy’s parents, Jason William Hamm, a Southwest Airlines employee at the Clinton National Airport in Little Rock, AK, spearheaded an elaborate effort to return Buzz to his rightful owner.

You, Me, and Spirit
I was a devout atheist until about 31 years ago when I "came to believe" in a Power greater than myself. Thanks to hearing the novel idea (well, at least it was to me!) that one could choose their own concept of God--and name too (Spirit, The Great Mystery, All That Is, etc.)--and the workings of synchronicity, I embarked on a new way of thinking, a new way of living, a new way of being in the world and with others. It impacted all aspects of my life and relationships.
Since that time of commencing my conscious spiritual journey, I have endeavored to remember The Presence in all that is, all whom I meet, and all that I do -- including working with clients in my own business and in the corporate world. I strive to be of service and to nurture the human spirit in all environments.
