Issue # 22 - Aug 13, 2020
Rev. J. William Mickiewicz

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Fr. Bill Mickiewicz this morning, August 13, 2020.

Fr. Bill ministered among us as celebrant for Sunday liturgies and funerals, as well as the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Fr. Bill was always willing to assist wherever he was needed, even helping with Confirmandi interviews of our eighth grade students.

Progressive weakening of his legs required Fr. Bill to use a walker. However, this did not deter him from ministry and we all have memories of him processing up to the altar for mass, walker in hand.

When no longer able to minister physically among us, Fr. Bill still remained present, as he sat in his wheelchair at the rear of the church, on Sundays, greeting parishioners as they entered.

One always knew when Fr. Bill was around by the sound of his resounding voice and hearty laughter. Fr. Bill touched many of our lives during the years he was among us and we have been blessed by his presence. May he now rest in the embrace of the God he loved.

Funeral arrangements will posted on our website when they are available.
