"The Power of Passion and Its Impact on Effecting Change"
Paula Fasseas, Founder, PAWS Chicago
Join PWCC as we kick off our 21st season with a fantastic speaker and a Chicago icon.

Paula Fasseas founded PAWS Chicago in 1997 and has since built the organization into a national model for No Kill animal welfare. PAWS Chicago began as an all-volunteer, grassroots organization and has grown into a dynamic and innovative nonprofit with a well-earned reputation for evidence-based results
Using her prior business experience, Paula developed a blended strategy to raise public awareness about the staggering number of pets killed in silence at traditional shelters and to offer practical solutions to address the plight of homeless animals. Since PAWS Chicago’s founding, the number of homeless pets killed in the city has declined by 91% - down from a high of 42,000+ pets euthanized in 1997.

Today, PAWS Chicago includes state-of-the-art adoption centers in Chicago and Highland Park that find homes for nearly 5,500 pets annually; the Lurie Spay/Neuter Clinic and the GusMobile, that spay and neuter nearly 17,000 pets each year for low-income families, preventing thousands of future homeless pets; a dedicated volunteer force more than 5,000 strong; and a cutting edge shelter medicine and behavior program that improves how animals are treated and cared for in shelters.

Let Paula’s passion propel you into another great PWCC season, beginning with the September 11 luncheon. Register today!

In line with PWCC’s mission to support, enrich and inspire professional women, we are kicking off our 2019-2020 instructional programming with a hands-on session about a key facet of networking: telling your story.

Storytelling is a powerful way to communicate who you are, to share knowledge, to transmit values and to spark action. However, when it comes to networking, we tend to favor transactional exchanges instead of true connections.
In this workshop you’ll have the opportunity to craft your unique story. You will also learn approaches for overcoming emotions around networking and how to effectively network both in person and virtually so you can bring your story to life and can expand your network.

Instructor:

PWCC member, Tami Chapek is the founder and head coach of WeInspireWe, a unique leadership and career coaching organization dedicated to supporting leaders, regardless of title or tenure, in their fight to rise up.

In addition to nearly 20 years of corporate experience in training and individual coaching, Tami holds her Professional Certified Coach credentials through the ICF and Certified Professional Coach and a Master Practitioner for the Energy Leadership Index through the Institute for Professional Excellence (iPEC).
