One-Of-A-Kind American Flag Glass Art Sculpture
Take a chance (or several!) to win this one-of-a kind, hand-crafted and kiln-formed glass art sculpture by Kim Keaser.

This one-of-a-kind glass sculpture is valued at $625.00 if sold at an art show. It could be yours for the price of a couple of raffle tickets! Tickets are $1.00 each; discounts for multiple tickets.

You may purchase tickets during any Life Realized Sunday, Monday, or Thursday event, from Sunday March 21 through Sunday April 11. All events are held at The Dearborn Center, 501 W. Dearborn St., Englewood. Please use the QR code at left or visit this link to see specific dates and times.

The drawing for the Flag sculpture will be held on Sunday, April 11th at 2:00pm sharp. The matching ticket must be presented at the time of the drawing to win. Kim Keaser will ship the sculpture.
Pig Roast II: The Sequel
We’re having another pig roast fundraiser on Sunday April 11th, from 10am to 3pm during our regular weekly free Sunday Farmers Market. Everyone had a great time and ate well at the first one. If you didn’t come in March, don’t miss it this time!

A $10 donation gets you a great roast pork sandwich “hot off the… ‘er… grill” with sides. The pig roast should be ready right around 12:30pm.

Huge thanks to Stan Harvey, aka "Mr. Shrimpman" for donating the pig, his cooker, time, and talents. Proceeds will benefit our programs, our Community, and ultimately, YOU!

And of course, our terrific vendors will be there with fresh produce, free-range eggs, fresh seafood, handcrafted gifts and accessories.

Water and soft drinks will be available for $1. And we will proudly be serving 3 Bridges Brewing locally-brewed beers on tap for $5!

Hope to see you on at every Sunday Farmers Market, and especially on April 11 for the Pig Roast!
Welcome To
The Dearborn Center
We are so proud to update everyone on our vision to turn an unused building on W. Dearborn St. into an anchor for our Community and historic downtown.

The Dearborn Center is certainly a work in process, with progress being made.

The framing and installation of our new backlit canvas banner is thanks to Gary Louis (shown here just after completing installation), one of our musician friends who "needed" us to be visible from W. Dearborn St. at night. Thanks to Gary's belief in us, his creativity, skills, and willingness to invest time and resources, we have that visibility. No one will have an excuse that they can't find us anymore, day or night!

I'd like to thank Ms. Karen Hartman of North Port for her generous donation of the funds for the banner itself.
While I'm thanking volunteers and donors, I'd like to publicly thank Patrick Fitzgerald for his assistance with our doors and trim work on them. There's still a bit to do; his knowledge and skills have made a huge difference in how we look from the street. And the fresh logo-color matching paint courtesy of Gary Louis, helped as well.
We're On The Lookout For...
While I'm on the subject of volunteers and donations...

We're currently wishing/looking for:

- a 36"-48" box-type fan to use as an exhaust fan for The Dearborn Center. If you know of one that's working and in good shape that you or someone would be willing to donate, please contact me directly. (My contact information is at the end of this newsletter. And THANKS!)

- the funds to allow us to purchase folding tables and chairs to support our classes and events.

Something New... And Tasty!
Since we are a 100% volunteer and donation-supported organization, we're always looking for ways to increase our revenue to support our programs and keep the lights on at The Dearborn Center.

To that end, we've partnered with 3 Bridges Brewing in Venice and are now serving their hand-crafted beers at all Life Realized events at The Dearborn Center. What's on draft will vary with time; regardless, you can now enjoy a cold, fresh, draft beer whenever you come to one of our events!
That's pretty much it for what's happening in April.

We hope to see you at one or more of our events or classes at The Dearborn Center. Tell your family and friends about what we're "up to", and bring them along!

Stay safe; be well.
