Unlocking the Value of Data Sharing Series
DASH just released a new series of papers that provides a framework for reaching out to stakeholders from other sectors to discuss the value of sharing data. The introductory paper walks through the basic steps for outreach and provides questions to guide your conversation. A series of short sector-specific papers will also be released, the first of which (housing and homelessness) is now available.

Data Sharing Across Sectors: Challenges and Opportunities
This webinar shared top takeaways from BUILD's new
data sharing report about what strategies teams use in the face of real-world challenges. Susan Millea of Children's Optimal Health and Kim Foreman of Environmental Health Watch discussed how they worked with their collaboration partners to tackle these barriers.

Project Spotlights
Addressing Social and Economic Factors Toward Building a Culture of Health
With support from NJHI, the Irvington Health Coalition is utilizing data to develop initiatives that target the primary health concerns within the Irvington Township, including environmental hazards, obesity, teenage pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, unemployment, and low family and social support.
All Children Thrive
The City of Long Beach, a CACHI awardee, is embarking on an initiative to address social determinants of health utilizing an equity lens, authentic community engagement, and partnerships that support collective impact, focusing on children ages 0-8 and their parents. The goals of All Children Thrive will be determined and agreed on by the residents, parents, and families of Long Beach, through a series of community dialogues.

Developing Multidisciplinary Networks to Address Equity
The Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment Office of Health Equity, a
PHNCI awardee, is testing a variety of strategies to build buy-in for using a health in all policies approach to address equity across state agencies and improve the social determinants of health.

Partnership Aims to Curb Tobacco Use in Covington & Gallatin County
The Covington and Gallatin Counties, KY
BUILD partnership officially launched the Quit for Good program, which provides a two-week supply of nicotine patches to residents and workers to reduce the rates of smoking and illness in their area.
Breastfeeding Key to Improving Child and Maternal Health in Mississippi
Beneta Burt, President and CEO of Mississippi Urban League, penned an op-ed about their
BUILD partnership's effort to move the marker on breastfeeding and infant health through the coordinated efforts of communities, hospitals, the government and industry.
