“We cannot regard this Lent as just another liturgical season which has simply happened to come around again. It is a unique time: a divine aid which we should accept. Jesus is passing by and he hopes that we will take a great step forward – today, now.”
--Saint Josemaria Escriva (
Christ is Passing By
, no. 59).

College Entrance Exams
It’s that time of year when juniors should be registering to take college entrance exams. These exams are often required for college admissions and/or scholarship opportunities. By taking the test in the spring or summer, students will have the opportunity to retake it in the fall if needed. It will also allow them to apply for early scholarship opportunities, which become available starting in August. Encourage students to research colleges to determine which exam may be required or recommended, as this varies from school to school. Here are the dates to pay attention to:

Concerned About the Novel Coronavirus?
Currently, the Novel Coronavirus is considered a low public health risk here in Maricopa County. There has only been one case identified in Maricopa County and the individual recently traveled to Wuhan, China. Many individuals who have contracted this virus have recovered just as individuals recover from flu or other respiratory infections. During cold and flu season, it is common for other coronavirus strains to circulate in our community. Protecting oneself from the novel coronavirus is similar to that of the flu or other respiratory viruses:
- Wash hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water.
- Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
- Avoid touching your face with unwashed hands.
- Stay home when you are sick and keep sick children home from school.
- Cough into your arm or tissue and immediately discard tissue into the trash.
