We have uploaded Sea Glass to our residential portfolio. An addition/renovation to a cottage in Harpswell, it started with a fast-track approval to help the sale of a house for potential buyers. Once they realized they could expand within the shoreland zone, DMA added a master bedroom suite, screen porch, new deck and renovated interior. Construction by Senecal Construction Services.

Sophi and Noah working on a design scheme...DMA said goodbye recently to Noah as he heads back to Wentworth Institute of Technology. Noah was with us all summer as an intern, and proved himself quite valuable even as first year student. We wish him luck back at school and his future architecture endeavors.

DMA recently received unanimous approval by the Brunswick Village Review Board in Brunswick for the design of a new dentist office for Dr David Vocal, DDS. Dr Vocal is moving from a second floor space on Maine Street to a first floor, fully accessible dental office at 137 Maine Street. We are currently working on construction documents...look for improvements to this brick wall in the near future.

DMA worked on the transformation of house in Harspwell that will create a much more dynamic and interesting view from Harpswell Sound. A fully renovated interior to the Colonial Keeper, the exterior was not expanded because there was sufficient space for the program, but the carefully relocated windows makes for a brand new house. DMA presented the expansion of For the Winn with stunning views of Winnegance Bay to the West Bath Planning Board. The expansion received approval, and even though some of the allowable area was left on the table, the allowable volume was maximized to create a cottage with cathedral ceilings bringing in natural light and a creative, open plan. Currently being priced out by Frohmiller Construction.

After a design meeting with our clients, we revised the design to incorporate a second floor screen porch to take advantage of views of the cove and stay within a limited allowable footprint. On the Rocks, first and foremost, responds the slopping and rock outcroppings and is just over 1,500 sf.
