Quarantine Habits Worth Keeping While much of our nation is still shut down during the pandemic, day-to-day life changed dramatically for most Americans. Though this unusual season has brought many challenges, some new habits formed during quarantine could be worth adopting long term.

Long walks outside: What started as an escape from being stuck indoors can lead to a lifelong healthy habit. Consistent exercise in the fresh air is definitely a routine worth keeping. Family meals at home: Canceled activities and partially closed restaurants forced families to eat more home-cooked meals together. As schedules slowly fill back up, choose to maintain margin in your calendar for family meals each week.

Conscious consumerism: Supply shortages taught us to buy wisely and use up all that we purchase. Continue to prioritize buying food from local farmers and from small businesses whenever possible. Helping others: Communities banded together to provide food and resources to those in need. Neighbors checked in on each other and ran errands for the elderly or vulnerable. Everyone benefits when we continue this trend of generosity.
