SPECIAL EVENT
November 21, 2019
10:00 AM
Benedict's Plantation Meeting Location
and Keith Young's Steakhouse for Lunch

Every year, WIP members support our Community Partners with gifts to meet their unique needs to help those they serve. In place of a general meeting, during the month of November we gather as a community of members for fun and fellowship as we prepare the gifts for delivery to our partners with bright holiday wrappings.

Meeting attendees are asked to bring holiday wrapping paper, ribbon and tape to share during the Meeting.

At 12:00 noon, those that are able to join the L unch Bunch will be traveling to Keith Young's Steakhouse in Madisonville for an early "friendsgiving" lunch together. Reservations are required for this event and we need the number by November 9 ! So if you are planning to join the Lunch Bunch after the meeting please email us at [email protected] . We will get your information to Laura and reply with details of the lunch including costs and menu options.

Recent Activities and Adventures
This month's snapshots highlight three separate events. Our September 28, 2019 Adventure, Painting with a Purpose, helped us to raise $337.50 to divide among our four Community Partners.

Saturday, October 19, WIP members and guests enjoyed a tour of the beautiful St. Joseph's Abbey and Seminary College located in Benedict, Louisiana, just north of Covington on October 19th. "The Abbey Church and monks' refectory, were designated in 2007 in the National Register of Historic Places properties. In 1946, Abbot Columban Thuis commissioned the Benedictine artist Dom Gregory de Wit to execute a series of original murals in these buildings. "(1)

Thursday night, October 24 was the signature event for our Community Partner " You Night ." Members were in the audience to support our own Heidi Rhea and celebrate several brave women who demonstrated poise, beauty and strength on the glamorous runway.
