The MSU Museum invites applicants for the position of American History Curator. The Museum is committed to exploring the natural universe and humanity's place within it. This curatorial position, which includes teaching one course per year, is responsible for helping steward, research and interpret the Museum's rich history collections.
Impression 5 Science Center is seeking a full-time Program Coordinator. This position coordinates planning, develops curriculum and training in various camp programs, delivers educational programs, and communicates scheduling needs within the educational department. The R.E. Olds Transportation Museum, located in downtown Lansing, is looking for a friendly, honest, energetic, detail-oriented person to join their team! This part-time Weekend Museum Associate is responsible for processing admissions, store sales, membership fees and various payments through a Point of Sale system, as well as keeping accurately records of all sales.

Conferences, Classes and Creative Opportunities
Next year, Mission of Hope Cancer Fund is celebrating 25 years helping cancer patients in Michigan by producing a variety box of greeting cards. They are asking artists who are cancer survivors to please help them by submitting their unique artwork for the cards. The cards will have five themes: Happy Birthday, Thinking of You, Get Well Soon, In Deepest Sympathy and Thank You. Please contact the Development Director directly if interested.

Join the Michigan Nonprofit Association at the Second Annual Talent Strategy Summit on Sept. 12. This premier event is a great opportunity to learn and share strategies to recruit, develop, and retain diverse talent. Attendees can expect to be part of high level discussions and gain immediate practical leadership skills.
The Arts Council partners annually with Adams Outdoor Advertising for its Art in the Sky program. Through this juried art program, billboards are produced featuring the art of area artists. This collective art installation is a well-recognized aspect of our region's landscape and is celebrated by residents and visitors alike. The billboards are placed in locations throughout Greater Lansing and then are periodically moved to different locations outside the area to attract visitors to the region. Deadline to apply is Sept. 24.
Healing Through Art is a community event hosted by the National Alliance on Mental Illness featuring artists expressing their creative vision and challenges. Participate by attending or submitting artwork. All submitted art will be shown on a scrolling video during the event. Deadline for submission Sept. 21.
The call for original modern/contemporary dance live performance and screendance works for inclusion in the 10th Anniversary RAD Fest is now open. The categories of submission are live performance, alternative spaces live performance, long works live performance, youth live performance and screendance. Deadline for submission is Sept. 30.
Uncle John's Cider Mill is hosting their
36th annual Fall Craft and Gift Show on Sept. 15. They are still looking for more craft vendors. The show is outside, located in their activity field and is an all-day event. If interested, fill out the vendor application form.

MCACA: Rising Leaders Program
|
Program participants from across the state of Michigan are invited to apply for the MCACA Rising Leaders Program
The MCACA Rising Leaders Program is a rigorous and highly interactive personal development initiative committed to the advancement of Michigan's arts leaders.
Over a six-month period, fifteen participants will be chosen to participate in a series of activities that includes three intensives focusing on self-awareness and self-management; mutual influence; and gaining tools to create communities and a state where everyone can experience and express creativity in their daily lives.
Participants chosen for the program will commit to three in-person meetings as well as individual reflection work assigned by the program's facilitator, as appropriate. Participants will be chosen through an application process to MCACA.
The registration fee for 2018 is $750, which covers training materials, admission to three in-person training workshops and room and board and all meals during the three in-person institutes.
Applications are due Friday, Sept. 7, 2018.
