Merry Christmas!
Happy New Year!
If all goes well, this is the last @ A Glance newsletter of this decade. So, I want to take this opportunity to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year with safe travels and lots of family and friends! I look forward to continuing to communicate with you into the '20's.
Apparel Orders Rolling In WEDNESDAY
If you ordered apparel through me, those orders should be in by the end of the day WEDNESDAY, December 18. It's a bit more difficult to call students down during finals, but I'll try. If you could also remind your student to stop by my office, that would be helpful as well. Any orders that are still in my office on FRIDAY may need to stay there until after the New Year.
Last Chance To Save $10 On Your 2019-2020 Yearbook
2020 Yearbooks are $80 through December 31. Order online now before the price jumps to $90 in the new year.
Calling All School-Owned Chromebooks
All School-Owned Chromebooks/devices that are loaned out to students must be turned in to Mr. Henehan before that student leaves for Christmas break. If a student fails to do so, Family and Student Access for that student will be turned off.
Still Time To Help Our Music Saints
If you were unable to make it to Barnes & Noble on Saturday to see our Band and Choir in action, you can still support them with your in-store purchase through WEDNESDAY, December 18. Just bring this flyer and present it when you check out. Yep, it's that easy.
It's Enrollment Time & You Can Make A Difference
We are already talking to eighth grade families about attending Central Catholic High School next fall. You play one of the most important roles in bringing families to our school and I ask that you always be ready to share your story and encourage families to talk to me. Feel free to share my cell phone number (309-533-2200) and e-mail (svogel@blmcchs.org) with anyone you encounter. You can also direct them to our online application for new students and we'll get info to them through that form. Thank you in advance for all of your help!

  • Lunch: During finals, students have Open Lunch. Our cafeteria will stock sandwiches, chips and other light lunch options if students opt to stay at school. Lunch may also be ordered to be delivered to the school and paid for on delivery by the student(s). (Please remind your student to tip the delivery person). Often times, a group will go in together to place an order. Students are also welcome to go get food and bring it back to school to eat while they get in some last minute studying.
  • Dress Code: For a $5 donation, a Dress Code pass may be purchased and used for all three days of Finals. Dress Code passes are available through TOMORROW, December 17 in Mrs. Nussbaum’s office. These passes allow students to dress comfortably for their Finals (keeping modesty in mind) and all money goes to our Senior Class Charity, The Penguin Project.
