Each month The Summit will have a 9:30 a.m. late start Wednesday morning. During these late start mornings, Summit faculty and staff will continue to devote time to the self-study portion of our re-accreditation process through ISACS.
The next late start day is Wednesday, September
12th.
Fun Zone will maintain the normal starting time of 7:30 a.m. and will be extended to 9:15 a.m., at which time students will join their teachers to begin their daily class routines. The official start time for the school day is 9:30 a.m. You are encouraged to drop off your child(ren) between 9:15-9:30 a.m., just prior to the start of classes. However, families who need to use Fun Zone from 8:30-9:15 a.m. may do so at no cost.

Official School Picture Day: Monday, Sept. 10th

Day! Photographers will be on campus Monday, September 10th to take individual photos. All students, faculty, and staff will need their
picture
taken, even if they are not purchasing a
picture
package. These pictures will be used in the 2018-2019 Summit Yearbook.

Registration and payment must be received by
11:59 p.m. on
Sept. 17th to receive a race t-shirt. The race shirt counts as Summit Spirit Wear to wear on Fridays.

Plan to Cheer on the Cross Country Team: Sept. 25th
We've got spirit, yes we do! We've got spirit, how about you? Join us as we cheer on the Summit/NCA Cross Country team at the Republic Meet on Tuesday, September 25th. This is a great chance to support our team at a local event.

Pre-Order the 2018-2019 Yearbook & Save 15%
We're only a couple weeks into
school, and we're already talking about yearbooks! The Summit High
School Journalism Activities class will be organizing The Summit 2018-2019 Yearbook through
TreeRing (same company as in previous years). If you order by Sunday, September 30th you will save 15%. Yearbooks regularly cost $24.99, so order early and save!
Note: you have the option to customize two pages in the yearbook for your student(s). These customized pages do not need to be completed until April, even if you pre-order your yearbook.

Save the Date for The Summit Gala: Friday, October 26th
The Summit's 14th Annual Gala will be held at the Darr Agricultural Center (same great location as last year).
This year's Annual Auction & Gala is a 1990s style party complete with games, music, appetizers, raffles, and silent and live auctions. Guests can show off their fly moves while gettin' jiggy with it, enjoy free wine and beer, or try their luck at the gaming tables. This party is going be all that and a bag of chips!

Fall Mums: Orders Due Friday, September 14th
We're kicking off our first Fundraiser of the year: Fall Mums!
These are beautiful, hearty plants that will accent your home and yard. This fundraiser benefits SPO (Summit Parent Organization), and will provide funds for such things as: Muffins with Mom, Donuts with Dad, Grandparents Day, and purchasing items off of teacher/classroom wish lists.
Order forms are due to the front desk on Friday, Sept 14th
. Flowers will be ready for pick up on Friday, Sept 28th during car line.

Don't forget to keep collecting all your box tops, labels, and Tyson product codes! We have a clear bucket in the lobby to collect these labels all year long. Please be sure to ask your family and friends to collect theirs as well. The Summit gets credit for every label turned in!
