The 13 th Annual International Harvester Sierra Fall Rallye was a great time by all who came. With over 80 vehicles present, several different suppliers, a taco lounge, kids games, vehicle games, a raffle and finished off with a delicious lasagna dinner how could you not have a most excellent time. Planning for the 14 th Annual event is already underway so marked your calendars for October 9 th -11 th , 2020 as that is the date set for next year’s event. IH Parts America is proud to be representing Cummins at this year’s SEMA event in the shows Overland Experience booth. The award winning Scout we are hauling down was restored at IHPA and has been outfitted with a Cummins R2.8 Turbo Diesel engine. Not familiar with SEMA? It stands for Specialty Equipment Market Association and is a trade-only event that only qualified and approved individuals employed within the automotive aftermarket industry are permitted to attend. This will be the second year we are attending the event. Unlike last year where we had to cover a lot of ground in two days, we are staying the week and hope to come back with more leads to getting more parts manufactured for our IH industry.

If you happen to be attending SEMA, look for this Orange Cummins powered Scout II in the previously mentioned SEMA Overland Experience Booth which is located inside the Performance Pavilion across from the Lower South Hall.

The guys in the shop, Darren, Rick and Brandon, have been working hard turning out some awesome builds. These two shown are ready to head back home to their owners.

1965 Scout 80: Cummins R2.8 Turbo Diesel engine. AX15 5 speed overdrive transmission, NP242D transfer case, CPT Dana 44 rear axle, Scout II Dana 30 front axle, 3.73 gears, 4-wheel disc brakes with a D&C power booster, CPT Reverse Shackle, Bilstein shocks.

1977 Scout II: The 345 IH engine is stock with the exception of Hamilton Fuel Injection. Using a CPT adapter, the engine is mated to a NV4500 5 speed overdrive transmission which is mated to a Jeep Dana 300 transfer case with 4 to 1 gears. The CPT Dana 60 rear axle has 35 spline Dutchman axleshafts, 5.13 gears, Ox Locker and Wildwood disc brakes. The front axle is a stock Scout II Dana 44 that has been SOA’d, PartsMike hysteer and Detroit Locker.  To power the 4-wheel disc brakes it has one of our CPT hydroboost kits. The CPT SOA Spring Over Axle kit has our Long travel reverse shackle kit up front and stock Scout II springs out back. Bilstein shocks at all four corners as well as 35" Falken Wildpeak M/T tires. CPT Cage is custom made with Anything Scout cage legs. Harvester Hardware rear tool box, Tuffy center console and a CPT dash round out the interior. A green zolatone paint job and Lizard Skin sprayed interior cover the surfaces of the Scout.
