Top Economic Development News
As 2019 comes to an end, we celebrate Good Vibes in Frederick County with over 104,000 jobs, a low unemployment rate of 3.1% and more than $176 million of commercial and industrial construction.  Our Annual Business Reception was a great way to wrap up the year and thank all of the new, expanding and existing businesses that make Frederick County a great place to live, work and raise a family.

OED has been restructured to better serve our business community and align with our GO Strategy.  With the promotion of Jodie Bollinger and the addition of Beth Woodring and Solash Aviles-Montanez, we look forward to 2020. In this newsletter, read our final recap of the Top 50 CEOs as we prepare to announce the Top 50 Best Workplaces. Additionally, we highlight the top stories of 2019. Read all of this and more below.

Good Vibes describes the unique and intangible feeling that our community has. This feeling is created by our hard working businesses and partners that are out there every day creating a sense of place to go along with a thriving economy.

As we look back on 2019, we also look forward to a new decade. We have exciting announcements and events planned for 2020, and we can't wait to share them with you. We wish you Happy Holidays! See you next year!

Sincerely,

Helen Propheter, Director
