REMINDER! No classes today, Monday, December 2. Classes resume tomorrow, December 3.
We hope you enjoyed the Thanksgiving break!
Students and Parents,

As we approach the Christmas season, we will once again celebrate with a school Advent Calendar. The Advent Calendar will be posted on the bulletin board outside of the Auditorium. Each day, a number will be removed and in its place a prayer intention for the day will be posted. Some days, there will be an announcement for a special dress day the following day. NO announcements will be made over the PA system. Students MUST check the bulletin board Advent Calendar on a daily basis.

For Special Dress Days:
The following special dress days will be announced at some time in the month of December. Students MUST follow the guidelines below or they will be written up for a uniform violation. We want this to be a fun experience for everyone involved, so we ask that you please help your student follow the rules. As a Christmas bonus, these special dress days will be FREE!

1. Christmas Sock and/or Tie Day
Students are permitted to wear Christmas socks and/or ties with their uniforms (girls may also wear ties today). Aside from the Christmas socks and/or ties, STUDENTS SHOULD BE IN COMPLIANCE WITH ALL UNIFORM REGULATIONS SET FORTH IN THE HANDBOOK.

CHRISTMAS ON TROY HILL - STUDENT AND PARENT VOLUNTEERS
Your chance to volunteer for Christmas on Troy Hill is quickly approaching! An email containing a link to the Sign Up Genius for volunteer spots was sent to seniors and senior family emails yesterday (12/1). The same link will be sent to the remainder of the school today (12/2). Our students make this event happen! Don’t miss the chance to be a part of the magic!

Parent volunteer opportunities are also available. Adults can visit this volunteer site to find additional ways to help with the event.

And finally, please help us to fill St. Nick’s bag with gifts for our guests on this night. Every child at the party has a chance to meet St. Nick, and receives a gift. Buy a Christmas on Troy Hill t-shirt and help to make it all happen! Just send $10 into the office for your chance to own this fashionable t-shirt. Let everyone know that YOU helped make it happen, again! Thank you to all!
CHRISTMAS ON TROY HILL
Please consider being an angel this holiday season and sign up to sponsor a child for the Annual Christmas on Troy Hill event. The Sign Up Genius (click on the picture to the right) contains the names of children from families who frequent the Catholic Community Food Bank on Troy Hill, or who otherwise receive support services through Most Holy Name of Jesus outreach. Names will be continue to be added as provided by the outreach agencies, so please check back often for sponsorship opportunities.

Please try to stay within the $25-$50 price range. Wish List items are recommendations of things the child likes - please do not feel compelled to purchase all items on the list as they are merely suggestions.

Please wrap all of your selected gifts and identify the child by First Name and Code Only. Do not write on the actual wrapped present; either tie on a gift tag, use a Post-It note, or write on the outside of a bag. These gifts are not necessarily from Santa Claus and they are not acknowledged as being from you. Please include an inventory of what present(s) you provided and please make sure to include any batteries that are required. Send wrapped and labeled presents in with your student - collection boxes will be set up outside the Main Office.

As an alternative to gift-buying, please consider sponsoring our student Shopping Elves on a shopping spree through Wal-Mart. They will be shopping for gifts and extras (batteries, etc.) for the Wish List and the party as well. Your donated Wal-Mart gift cards will be put to good use. Gift cards can be sent to the Main Office.

We are so proud of this tradition and always overwhelmed by the generosity of our North Catholic families. Thank you in advance for all that you do for the families of Troy Hill.
