A fruitful ending to Ghost Stories
Sermon Title: Fruit of the Spirit
Scripture:  Galatians 5:16-26

This Sunday, we will close out our Ghost Stories sermon series by highlighting the fruit of the Spirit. As disciples, Jesus calls us to "bear much fruit." The Apostle Paul lists the fruit in his letter to the Galatians. We're going to focus on how this fruit springs forth in our daily lives. Spoiler Alert: It's not by our power or our might, but by His Spirit that this fruit is manifested in our lives.
Welcome to the family of Christ
Yesterday was a day of rejoicing in so many ways, but none more so than the way it ended -- with the baptism of Abbe Standridge into the family of Christ.

FallFest rescheduled for Saturday
Rain delayed it, but FallFest will now take place this Saturday (Oct. 26) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at J.B. Williams Park. Set-up will begin around 9 a.m., and we need everyone and everything ready to go by 10:30 a.m.

Unless you tell us otherwise, we are assuming you're still set to serve this Saturday. Please email Jim Barber if your plans have changed.
“Footsteps”
Children’s Ministry

The Children’s Ministry has a new name!

T wenty-one times in the four gospels, Jesus himself used the term, “Follow me.”

Following in Jesus’ footsteps is one of the goals for Children’s Ministry, so we are claiming one of those 21 scriptures, Mark 1:17 Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people” as the basis for our new name and goals. We will use the footprints as our logo and for various themes and projects.

A precious little 2- or 3-year old can memorize, “Follow me.”
A darling 4-or 5-year-old can learn, “Come, follow me.”
Adorable early elementary age children can learn “Come, follow me,” Jesus said.”
Wonderful older elementary age children can learn, “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”

Please join and support our magnificent children in helping them learn and live these life-changing scriptures!
