You're not the King of this House
|
My 4-year-old granddaughter once told me that I wasn't the king of her house, her daddy was, and that's correct. She said that because when she visits our home, I often have a few rules she has to follow, like, no food in the family room, no jumping on the couch, etc. She then said I was like a king. Her dad has similar rules at her home, but she understood who is in charge. Every once in awhile, we need to remind ourselves who is in charge of every home, every job, and life itself.

is death is hard for us to believe because no one appeared more unstoppable than him. We are reminded of the frailty of life and the reality of our human limitations. Only God can give us an abundant life, lasting joy, and strength to get through this life. God is the only real King. We need to do things God's way, not our way, in God's timing, not ours, and in his strength, not ours. Worship the king.
“Tell the people of Jerusalem, ‘Look, your King is coming to you. He is humble, riding on a donkey." Matthew 21:5.
