Rediker apps can be used on Android and IOS and are found on iTunes or Google Play by searching for "ParentPlus" or "Rediker".  If you want to use it on your iPad, just make sure that iPhone apps are selected.  After you download the app, enter the school name as Familyofchrist and use your Rediker user name and password to access the PlusPortal.  If you have multiple schools using Rediker that you have a student attending, click on Add School in the upper-right corner of the login screen and follow the steps above.  Please email or call Brenda Lamlein with additional questions at  [email protected] or  813-558-9343 Ext. 147.

COLD WEATHER CLOTHING
When there is unseasonably cold weather in Tampa  the dress code is altered.  If it is below 60 degrees when you leave the house, students are permitted to wear cold weather clothing. This includes: jeans or sweatpants, sweatshirts, and boots (no glitter please).

Please see below for guidelines:

Jeans: no torn or ripped jeans please.

Sweatpants:  plain or athletic (no words) navy, burgundy, white, black, gray with no writing.

Sweatshirts: solid navy, burgundy, white, black or gray sweatshirts may be worn with or without the FOC logo. They may have a small quarter sized emblem (ie. Nike swoosh) but may not have wording (other than the FOC logo, ie, no college or sports teams) across the front.

Sweaters:  solid navy, burgundy, white, black or gray sweatshirts may be worn. (No glitter or flowers)

Winter Coats/Jackets:  any color may be worn outside only. All jackets and coats worn inside must be solid navy, burgundy, white,  black or gray. Students typically wear their sweatshirts inside and their coats/jackets outside.

Boots: navy, burgundy, white, black, gray, and brown (no glitter) mid-calf boots may be worn only on cold winter days. No  lace-up boots. On PE days, students must wear athletic shoes
  • All clothing needs to fit appropriately. Not too tight  or too loose.

Need a school approved sweatshirt?  We have new sweatshirts available at the school office or gently used ones in the clothes closet.

*Students tend to all wear the same sweatshirts and remove them at lunch time on the playground when the weather warms up.  Please put your child's initials on the inside tag.

Students should wear uniform tops under their sweatshirts except on Friday.  They can wear spirit shirts on Friday.

WELCOME

I want to welcome Vickie Lombardi as our Administrator of the After School Program and Summer Camp. Vickie has been a VPK teacher at Family of Christ for 3 years and has over 26 years experience teaching and instructing children ages 4-15. Prior to Family of Christ, she worked at Hunter's Green Elementary as a teacher and PTSA President. In addition, she was the original manager at the Health and Wellness Center Kid's Club at Advent Health Hospital, Wesley Chapel. A fun fact: she spends other "free" evenings working at Amalie Arena! She brings with her an extensive amount of experience in education as well as filling a leadership role for both staff and students. We appreciate your patience and understanding as she transitions to her additional role on the team.

Please welcome Vickie and feel free to contact her at  [email protected]  anytime.

Starting December 2, we will be instituting a new policy when you arrive to pick up your child from the After School Program. All parent(s) or person assigned to pick up their child that day will be required to sign at their specific child's pick up time in our attendance binder. For the safety of our students, as well as our counselors, we appreciate you taking this brief moment to sign your child out. The counselors will always be at the cafeteria table if your students are inside and at the table closest to the gate next to building 2 if outside. We appreciate your support in instituting this policy.

We would like to recognize the great counselors both veterans and a few new ones that have joined the after school care team. Please take a minute to say Hi and get to know them.  Josh Morera, Kassidy Gordon, Ruben Marin Navarro, Hannah Ferguson, Adam Lombardi, Grace Tarkington, Ethan McDonnough, Alyssa Leukroth, Abigail Raile, Nick Snow.

Jill Hammond,
CDC Director

Thank you Cathy Walton for donating the poinsettias on campus.
