School Reopening Plan
The St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School Return to School Task Force and related sub-committees have been working diligently to contribute ideas and input toward the development of a document outlining our plans for reopening in the Fall.  That document is in the final stages of the review process this week and we project that it will be complete and ready for distribution this Friday, July 31.  Please look for our School Reopening Plan as well as a new survey gauging your back-to-school intentions in your email inbox on Friday.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during these summer weeks as we have prepared our plans.  There is no easy answer for what the coming school year will look like, we do know that it will look different than previous years.  We are confident that together we can make St. Francis of Assisi a wonderful place to learn and grow in any circumstance.

School Office Closed
Reminder that the school office will be closed from August 3rd - 7th.  We will resume normal office hours (8:00 am - 3:00 pm) on Monday, August 10th.
Mentor Families Needed
St. Francis School is proud of our wonderful community and what better way to share that pride than to become an ambassador to our school as a mentor family.   We are seeking families in all grades to become mentors for our new families for the 2020/2021 school year.  You don't need to possess an in-depth knowledge of everything about our school or have all the answers, just a willingness to share the warmth of our SFA community. Some of the responsibilities of a mentor family are:  
  • Email or phone your new SFA family in mid August to welcome them to SFA and answer any questions.
  • Invite your new family as your guest to attend any New Family events (TBD).
  • Be available to answer questions that may arise throughout the school year as well as inform families of annual events such as Trick, Treats and Tacos and the Auction.
Our mentor families truly represent the heart and soul of all that makes St. Francis School special.  We need caring, welcoming families to be a part of this ministry.  It's also a fun and easy way to get volunteer hour credit.

Incoming 7th Grade Students
Parents of incoming 7th grade students, please make sure that your child(ren) are up to date on their vaccinations before school starts on August 24, 2020.  It is required by law that incoming 7th graders have the Tdap and Pertussis vaccination.

If you have any questions, please contact the school office, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm at 714-695-3700.
Covid-19 Tuition Assistance Fund
We are family and family helps one another in times of crisis.  If you are able to support the COVID-19 Tuition Assistance Fundplease mail your check to the school:  5330 Eastside Circle, Yorba Linda, CA  92887, with COVID-19 on the memo line or contact Lorraine Cross in our business office to make a payment via credit card.  No amount is too small and your donation will make a difference in a child's life!
