Date: Saturday, August 29
Time: 10am-1pm

Kudos to volunteers who removed 400 lbs of trash around High Bridge last Saturday.
Leave No Trace
The Outdoor Industry Association is reporting that "Americans have flocked to outdoor recreation amid COVID restrictions." They are also reporting people are staying closer to home to recreate. Goodness knows we're seeing it up and down the Spokane River.
When you're out and about, please help model the seven principles of Leave No Trace Stewardship.

1.    Plan ahead and prepare

2.    Travel and camp on durable surfaces

3.    Dispose of waste properly

4.    Leave what you find

5.    Minimize campfire impacts

6.    Respect wildlife

7.    Be considerate of other visitors

Redband Raft Hits the Water
The Forum is really excited that our Get Up, Get Out Spokane Riverkeeper partner has a Redband Raft to help with cleanup and education. Funding came from the Spokane Indians Baseball Redband Rally Campaign. Said Otto Klein, Senior VP for the Spokane Indians Baseball Team. "This campaign is designed to bring awareness to the native Redband trout in the Spokane River and rally the community to protect and keep the river clean."
Said Forum Executive Director Andy Dunau, "Otto has an advisory group that includes the Forum to identify worthy projects. Picking this one was a no brainer."
