Festival of Lights - Opening Night
This Friday, the Festival of Lights returns for the seventh straight year in bigger and brighter fashion.

The Lighting Ceremony kicks off at exactly 7 p.m., December 6 when Bloomingdale Park Board of Commissioners President Buzz Puccio and Village of Bloomingdale Mayor Franco Coladipietro pull the giant switch to illuminate Old Town Park and the Village's Holiday Tree in the adjacent piazza. 

An abundance of other activities including horse-drawn carriage rides, mini train rides, exhibit at the Museum, Kris Kringle Market and more begin earlier.

Summer Job Fair - January 3
Calling everyone 16 and older interested in working at the Bloomingdale Park District this summer! The Park District is hosting an open house job fair for positions in aquatics, summer camp and more. Stop in between 3 and 6 p.m. on January 3 to apply and have an initial interview. For questions or to send in your application or resume ahead of time, contact Liz at liz@blooomingdaleparks.org.

Middle School Movie Night - December 23

The Lounge is open just for middle-schoolers to watch newly-released movies on our huge projector screen! Concessions are available for this fun-filled night. Cost is $5/$10 resident/non-resident. Kids vs. Police Hockey Showdown

Middle School players showcase their skills against the mighty Bloomingdale Police Department at the Inaugural Kids vs. Police Hockey Showdown . Middle school players consist of students in grades sixth through eighth grade. Drop-ins are welcome, but pre-registered participants receive a T-shirt. Registration deadline is January 2. Protective equipment, skates and hockey stick are required. FREE hot chocolate and treats for players! Days Off of School Activities for December

Busy Bees (ages 3 through kindergarten) and School's Out! (first through sixth-graders) provide endless opportunities on days off of school. Each day offers a variety of structured yet relaxed activities for your child to enjoy including games, sports, arts and crafts, indoor and outdoor playtime, cooking, trips, special events and more.
