Houston, TX - Mayor Pro Tem Dave Martin is pleased to announce a drainage project to be conducted by the Storm Water Action Team (SWAT), along Falcon Street, is expected to begin today, Wednesday, February 24, 2021. The map below shows the project limits outlined in red. The scope of the work for this project includes the clearing and grubbing of the off road drainage channel along this portion of Falcon Street. The funding for this project comes from the Dedicated Drainage & Street Renewal Capital Fund and is estimated to cost $125,215.56.
Construction is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, February 24 and is expected to be completed within 90 days, weather permitting. Crews will be operating between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
As a result of the construction activities, please be aware of flagmen and orange traffic cones that will be put in place on site to help with traffic flow through the construction zone as the project will require one lane closures. Two-way traffic will be maintained at all times. Businesses and residents will have access to driveways at all times, and may experience an increase in noise levels due to trucks and equipment in the area.
