LEGACY GARDEN AT ROXBOROUGH STATE PARK
Have you been to Roxborough State Park? If you have, you’ve probably spoken to a volunteer at the entry gate or the front desk. One of the smallest parks in the system, it has been preserved as a natural area, where in a matter of minutes you can step out of your man-made surroundings and immerse yourself in nature. Even before the first land was purchased in 1975, even before the opening of the Visitor Center in 1987, and right up until today, people like you have worked to preserve, protect and teach the public about this jewel that is in your backyard. Whether a volunteer or a new visitor, each of us can leave a legacy of caring for the park.
Roxborough volunteers are raising funds to build a Legacy Garden that recognizes the role we all play in keeping it a special destination for many years to come. Start your new neighbor relationship with Roxborough State Park by donating to the completion of the Volunteer Legacy Garden. Mail your check, drop it off at the Visitor Center, or donate online. Be sure to designate your donation for the Park Volunteer Legacy Fund.
As a reminder, if your State Park Pass is set to expire, you can stop by the Resident Resource Center, the Information Center or the Overlook Clubhouse to pick up your new pass.
