Family Literacy Center Updates!
The "New Normal"
You are needed more than ever!
The past year has given your Family Literacy Center an opportunity to change the way we provide services to students. With your help we are developing our “New Normal” by adjusting and improving programs for the benefit of our students. We are proud to announce that 28 students earned their GED in 2020, in spite of shutdowns and staggering challenges!

You can help students by:

  • Donating -  You can give online or mail a check to us. Give one time or sign up for monthly giving through Facebook, PayPal, or your online bill pay system. The costs related to our programs have not decreased. We cannot do in-person event fundraising like we have in the past.  YOUR donations matters.

  • Volunteering - If you are a trained tutor, please consider returning to help us. YOU are vital to student success. If you would like to volunteer in another way, please let us know. We have MANY volunteer opportunities. The program is most effective when you volunteer to help our mission.

  • Following Family Literacy Center on social media, sharing our posts, and talking about what we do. Supporters like you, spreading the word about what we do, are crucial. Most students come to the Center because someone they know told them about us.  This is a key part of your being a true Friend of the Family Literacy Center.

One thing that has not changed with the “New Normal” is that YOU make it possible for students to change their lives.
