Grant Opportunities
Key Deadlines Approaching

Spring is nearly here and so are two of our grant deadlines! Read below to learn more about our 2021 Animal Welfare and 2021 Equity and Access grants with upcoming deadlines. And don't forget to visit our website to explore our other grant offerings!
2021 Animal Welfare Grant
Provided by the Robert Parker Fund and the Helen C. Schwieder Fund

Animal Welfare Grants support organizations that serve domestic animals and promote their humane care in Sarasota, Manatee, Charlotte, and DeSoto counties.

Funding requests for this grant program can range from $10,000 to $50,000. Partial funding of requests may be awarded based on the quality and quantity of applications received.

Applications will be reviewed by a committee that includes local animal welfare experts. Preference will be given to proposals that focus on:

  • Funding veterinary treatment for domestic animals, with priority given those programs that provide emergency medical treatment for urgent cases or extraordinary medical needs

  • Supporting volunteer program development, including but not limited to the growth of foster programs and supplies to support those programs

Eligible organizations must have a profile in The Giving Partner that reflects an Approved/Current status by the application deadline.

The application deadline is 11:59 P.M., Friday, March 5.
Equity and Access Grant

Equity and Access Grants ($5,000 – $30,000) are designed to align with our commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Priority will be given to proposals that promote educational and health care equity to those populations who face systemic barriers in our community.

Eligible organizations must have a profile in The Giving Partner that reflects an Approved/Current status by the application deadline.

The application deadline is 11:59 P.M., Wednesday, March 31.
