Lost And Found
Please put your last name LEGIBLY on all clothing and lunch containers. Items with names are returned to the classrooms. Items without names or illegible names are kept in the Lost and Found Closet or are left on the table by the office doors. If your child or you need to locate any lost item, a key to the lost and found closet may be obtained from the school office. Any item left in the closet over a month will be donated to the Used Uniform Committee.

Thursday is Picture Day. Order forms are coming home in the Blue Folders. Students may wear Alternate Dress. There will be a Make-Up Day later this fall if your child misses this week.

NO GLASS ALLOWED AT SCHOOL

During both arrival and dismissal times, please do not make left turns from our driveway onto Hill Avenue. This causes traffic backup in the driveway traffic lanes.

As many of you may have noticed, the service hours requirement changed this year. Please make note of the updated numbers and how they break down by period.
FAMILY PLAN
Total hours needed: 40 (30 school, 4 Fall Fest, 2 RTB, 4 parish).
PERIOD 1
(May 1, 2018-Nov 30, 2018) requirement: minimum of 17 hours (13 school, 4 Fall Fest)
PERIOD 2
(Dec 1-April 30, 019) requirement: 23 hours (17 school, 4 parish, 2 RTB)
SINGLES PLAN
(only those families pre-approved by the office)
Total hours needed: 23 (15 school, 4 Fall Fest, 2 RTB, 2 parish).
PERIOD 1
(May 1, 2018-Nov 30, 2018) requirement: minimum of 11 hours (7 school, 4 fest)
PERIOD 2
(Dec 1-April 30, 019) requirement: 12 hours (8 school, 2 parish, 2 RTB)

(First year only/brand new to SP)

Save The Date for this year's
Fall Festival
on
Saturday, October 20th, 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm.
All families on Tuition Plans A & C are required to work 4 hours. Any additional hours worked will go toward regular school hours. If you're unable to work the day of the festival, then you can buy out of your Fall Festival hours for $400.00. There will be plenty of service hour opportunities available. A Sign Up Genius will be available on Tuesday, October 2nd(details to follow in the coming weeks). You can get a head start on your regular school service hours (30 hours) by taking on additional shifts at the Fall Festival. There is no limit to the number of hours you can work! SPAS will participate in the Crayola ColorCycle it program this school year! It is very simple. Send used markers in to school and reduce waste. It is that easy. So, don't throw out that used marker-- ColorCycle it!
In 2016, we recycled 400 used markers. Can we beat that this year?

PTO PROGRAM PLANNING PRESENTS CHOOSE LOVE

Want to learn more about how you and your children can "Choose Love" in any situation? Join your fellow SPAS parents at a special "Choose Love" discussion at Holy Angels Hall on September 19th at 8 am. This new social and emotional learning program is being incorporated into the SPAS curriculum to help promote a culture of love and kindness in our school.

LUNCH SUPERVISION HELP NEEDED

We are looking for parents that are available to assist with lunch supervision for 2nd through 8th grades. The commitment is to assist at least one lunch period a week every week of the school year. ALTAR SERVER TRAINING AND RE-TRAINING

All altar servers who are or would like to be
cross bearers
must attend at least one refresher course to go over the new changes we have implemented over the summer. Training will be on the next two Mondays: September 17 and 24th from 2pm to 3:15pm
