Getting Good at Getting Older Review
The Jewish Journal ’s Jonathan Kirsch enthusiastically reviewed Getting Good at Getting Older by Rabbi Laura Geller and Richard Siegel z”l. Kirsch described the book as "wholly upbeat, full of both wisdom and practical advice, suffused with good humor, but always willing to embrace the poignant and painful moments that come with the accumulation of years."

Rabbi Geller Groupie
I have suddenly become a groupie! I have been following Rabbi Laura Geller around, hearing her speak several times about her book Getting Good at Getting Older . People laugh, they applaud, they get a little teary, and some even stand and shout YES when she tells a funny story. Rabbi Geller talks about the fact that America these days has a large population of elders who often complain of loneliness and lead very isolated lives. She talks about the importance of providing social interaction and caring (which our Village does so well) and remarks on the timeliness of a recent New York Times article “Let’s Wage a War on Loneliness.”
