Ministry Highlight: Thank You, Stewart Neely
We invite you to join us in thanking the Lord for Stewart Neely and his service to our church, to our youth, to our youth ministry, and to our staff. Stewart has served as Christ Covenant Church’s Pastor of Youth Ministry for 6 years. In addition to overseeing a shepherding group, Stewart has lead the youth staff, planned the curriculum for youth Sunday School and Wednesday nights, recruited and trained volunteers, spearheaded Seek the City, and served parents and students in various counseling situations. Stewart’s vision for the youth ministry was to cultivate a community of mature disciples of Christ who serve Christ and others. Many of our students and covenant families have richly benefited from Stewart’s leadership and vision in his role as Pastor of Youth Ministry.

By God’s grace, Stewart will be joining Cornerstone Financial Planning in an Advisor Support role in the months to come. We appreciate all the contributions Stewart has made to our church. We wish Stewart, his wife Gabe, and their family, the Lord’s richest blessings as they enter this new chapter.
What is Faith Promise During Missions Conference?
Faith Promise is the primary means by which Christ Covenant financially supports international and domestic supported workers and church planters. This approach to partnering financially began in our earliest years as a church. Our desire to share the gospel around the world and partner with men and women whose ministries we wanted to see grow, was often more than we could supply without taking resources from other ministry areas. Faith Promise was, and is, the way we support our Christian workers as God provides through church members. We have learned that we can make a prayerful promise with confidence in God’s provision. We do not need to know how God may meet the promise, but we can rest in His goodness. Through Faith Promise, God blesses those who are supported, those whose prayers He answers by providing unexpected resources, and those who hear how God demonstrates His power to provide in beautiful ways, year after year.

We ask that you begin to prayerfully consider giving a pledge to Faith Promise. You can give a one-time gift or pledge a certain amount to give throughout the year. On Sunday, March 7, we will have a special time during our morning worship to offer our Faith Promise commitment cards with our pledges and pray that God will provide for the ministry partners we are supporting in 2021. We ask that you and your family begin to take time to prayerfully consider what you might give to Faith Promise. What might God supply through you to help empower our supported workers and church planters across the globe this year as they share Christ across the world?
Christ Covenant Missions Facts
Due to your generous Faith Promise giving in 2020:
  • We supported 61 supported workers and church planters in the US and 18 countries around the world, plus many others with one-time gifts;
  • We were able to add 4 new church planters serving in North Carolina, Scotland, and South Africa.

Spring Thursday Morning Bible Study
Beginning March 4
Throughout history, people have been marketing practices and products for wisdom and knowledge. In fact, it began in the garden of Eden when Satan, disguised as a snake, slithered up to Eve and questioned God’s Word. Today, many people are deceived into thinking that wisdom and knowledge can be found apart from Christ. But it’s not true. “In [Christ] are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge” (Col. 2:3). The church at Colossae was presented with false teaching that challenged Christ’s supremacy and sufficiency. It’s an important letter for us to study, as we seek to expose false arguments and proclaim the preeminence of Christ. To register and learn more about this Bible study on the book of Colossians on Thursdays, March 4 - April 29, from 10am-11:30am, click here.
Spring Workshops for Women
Beginning March 4
Women’s Ministry and Children’s Ministry invite you to join us for Thursday Morning Workshops for Women (of all ages). Join us on four Thursdays this March and April as we discuss everything from dealing with anxiety to how to make that perfect Easter craft! Details and online sign ups can be found by clicking here. The first workshop is Thursday, March 4.
Support Groups Beginning in March:
GriefShare, DivorceCare, and Caregivers
Christ Covenant offers three different types of support groups facilitated by caring members of our church who understand what you are going through and want to help. Grieving a loss, walking through a divorce, or providing care for a parent or child are all difficult experiences you don’t have to go through alone.

GriefShare and DivorceCare are video seminar series featuring some of the nation’s foremost Christian experts on divorce and recovery topics as seen from a biblical perspective. Caregivers is a book study along with presentations by local resources for the many typical needs for this
season of life.

GriefShare and DivorceCare will begin March 8 online through Zoom from 6:30pm - 8:00pm. To register for GriefShare, click here. To register for DivorceCare, click here.

Caregivers also begins March 8 online through Zoom from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm. Cost is $8.00 for the book Ambushed by Grace that you’ll walk through together. Email mculver@christcovenant.org to register for Caregivers support group.
