Service Spotlight: Veterans
Join Habitat for Humanity of Denton County in honoring all those who serve their country and also their communities.

We specifically highlight our ReStore Assistant Manager, Kevin Sample, a U.S. Navy veteran who was recently featured in the Denton Record-Chronicle. View the article here. We are grateful for all the work you do for Habitat for Humanity of Denton County, Kevin!
We also highlight U.S. Army veteran Raymond Garza. Our volunteers recently trimmed his trees and bushes, installed new trim on his house, and hauled brush out of his yard, so that Mr. Garza's home could be a decent place to live.

Raymond Garza served overseas in the U.S. Army, where much of his time was spent in Germany. Fun fact: he served at the same time as Elvis Presley! But when given the opportunity to see a performance by Elvis, Mr. Garza and his friends decided to grab a beer instead!!

Veterans Day Grant from Behr Paint Company
We are honored to announce that we have received a $15,500 grant from Behr Paint Company specifically for our Veterans Repair programs! Thank you, Behr, for your support of our initiatives to provide decent, affordable housing for veterans within our community.
