RAISE THE TORCH
FOR THE PTSA GRANTS PROGRAM!

Did you know that last year the ISPTSA funded almost $18,000 in grants from proposals submitted by IS teachers, staff, students, and parents? Each semester, the ISPTSA makes this program available to support and supplement programs and activities that enhance and enrich student learning. Donations raised during the Fall Fundraiser are critical to funding this program. With the grant proposal submission process currently underway for this semester,  you can  RAISE THE TORCH to encourage learning and engagement at IS with a donation to the Fall Fundraiser today.

The ISPTSA Grants program is another example of how your donation to the ISPTSA comes to life through meaningful student experiences at IS! All donations to the Fall Fundraiser you give today are tax-deductible and 100% goes back to the IS community.  To see a more robust list, please check out  What Your Donation Supports .

We invite all families to participate in this campaign because your contribution, no matter the amount, makes a difference! We ALL benefit from the community, academic excellence, and reputation our students were fortunate to join. This is our chance to give back and build on that legacy. Choose a support level that works for you:  Gold $500,  Silver $250,  Bronze $100, or define your own amount. For those families who can, we ask you to consider becoming a  Titan Torch supporter with a donation of $1,000 or more.

Prefer to write a check? Fill out and mail back this  donation form  to the ISPTSA.

Questions? Please contact  [email protected] .

Thank you for your consideration!
Go Titans!

ISPTSA MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL TAILGATES A SUCCESS

Both of our high school and middle school tailgate events were successful last week, with more than twenty parents and guardians in attendance at each. People came to meet new friends, catch up with old friends, exchange school information, and just enjoy the conversation. We're all looking forward to more social gatherings organized by parents and guardians from each grade level throughout the school year.

Contact  [email protected] with questions or suggestions.
Are your students listening to the daily morning announcements or reading the Titan Times posted around the school?
Current Titan Times info:
  • There is a Tri-M interest meeting on Tuesday, September 18, at lunch in Anna Silarski’s room, 301.
  • Red Cross Club’s first meeting is Wednesday, September 19, during lunch in Laura Baumgarter’s room, 207. New leadership positions are also open!
  • Roots and Shoots will have an interest meeting on Wednesday, September 26, in room 109 during lunch.

If they're not listening or reading, this is the type of information they're missing! Don't forget that there is a link to the Titan Times in the masthead at the bottom of every Monday Messenger. See below!
COMPUTER CLUB PARENT ADVISOR STILL NEEDED

Did you know that the ISPTSA runs a computer club for HS students? Do you have computer industry experience? Would you be willing to meet with student teams as they create their program? Students organize and run teams, so the position is truly advisory. We were fortunate to have Tao Wang as our previous parent advisor for this group; he is willing to share his experience and help a new advisor get started. Please step up if you can help keep this club going!
Contact Meribeth,  [email protected].

Whether you are a new 6th-grade parent or starting the twilight years at IS for your 12th grader, you are a part of the IS community and we need your support as a part of ISPTSA. Any questions, please contact Sharon Chen:  [email protected] .
