The Alzheimer Society Research Program (ASRP) recently announced that it has awarded
$2.9 million to 29 Canadian researchers to fund bio-medical and quality-of-life research.

Baycrest Health Sciences in partnership with North East Specialized Geriatric Centre, will hold Cycle 2 of "Project ECHO Care of the Elderly" (ECHO COE) from Sep 5, 2018 - Dec 19, 2018 on Wednesdays 3:30-5:00 pm. The goal of this free telehealth education program is to enhance the quality of care for older adults in Ontario, by improving the knowledge and skills of primary care providers. The brainxchange in partnership with the Alzheimer Society of Canada and the Canadian Consortium of Neurodegeneration in Aging (CCNA) shared information about the development of culturally-appropriate health promotion materials regarding dementia for Indigenous communities in a webinar entitled "Developing Culturally Grounded Dementia Educational Materials for Indigenous Community-Based Care" featuring presenters Kristen Jacklin and Melissa Blind. ONF recently marked its' 20th anniversary. Over the past two decades ONF has invested $100-million and supported hundreds of thousands of Ontarians to access better care and services. ONF has built and supported networks of researchers and advocates working to find and implement health care solutions that address the needs of those living with neurotrauma. AGE-WELL - Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists Partnership is Seeking Qualified Postdoctoral Trainees to promote the evidence-based value of using an occupational lens to respond to the needs of a growing older adult population. The outcome of the project is a dynamic website housing stand alone modules that will support enabling ageing well across occupational transitions. The project will run from Sept. 2018 to Aug. 2019. This is Long Term Care 2018: Disrupting the Norm, will take place November 14-16, 2018. The Innovators' Den session is designed to showcase revolutionary products or services that will improve the quality and/or efficiency of care in long-term care homes. This session will encourage growth in the mark penetration of a product or service within the LTC sector and act as a platform to educate and inform delegates on services.
