Hello Morgan Hill Community!
Daylight savings time is here, which means Spring is right around the corner.
At 2 a.m., Sunday, March 14th, we will "spring forward" an hour. Don't forget! Although we may lose an hour of sleep, we gain an hour of daylight in the evening—what a great time to go out for a walk and enjoy some late afternoon sunshine.
The springtime change is a perfect reminder to check your home smoke detectors' batteries. Most detectors need fresh batteries once per year. If your alarm chirps, it's not the birds excited about spring! It is a warning that the battery is low and needs replacement. For other preparedness tips, visit Morgan Hill's Office of Emergency Services.

A second bright spot is St. Patrick's Day, March 17. One day each year that everyone can have the luck of the Irish! Corned beef, cabbage, green beer, wishing on a shamrock ... whatever you prefer, as the proverb goes, "May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back!"
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
And for a deep dive into culture, Beware the Ides of March, Monday, March 15.
