From the Desk of Ellen Knippel, Principal
Dear Parents,
I hope everyone is enjoying this glorious weather!
Thank you to all who attended our Lights, Camera, Auction! event on Friday evening. We had great raffle and auction items, then danced the night away!! Thanks to all the teachers for their help at the event, students for making the neat classroom projects, the parents who put together the class baskets, and the many people who volunteered for the event! Finally, a huge THANK YOU to the HSS Committee for the year of planning and preparation for this event! Many hours went into this planning, led by Andrea Wojcinski. Thank you one and all for this successful fundraiser!
This week we will be honoring
G9 (Gold in September) with a couple of events. G9 is the recognition of Childhood Cancer efforts in Wisconsin. Actually, it is becoming a national event.
Last week the students tied blankets that will be donated to Children's Hospital. Tomorrow, Tuesday, is a $1 Out-of-Uniform Day. All donations will go to support G9 efforts to stop childhood cancer. Fr. Tony will bless the blankets at Mass this week. This has been a tradition at St. Anthony for the past five years and we, as a school, are blessed to participate so fully.
Please join us at Mass on Wednesday (wearing your gold), if you are able.
We are still in need of
Extended Day Care help - especially on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and also Fridays! This is a paid position. Please call the office or see below for details.
Free registration for
Soles for Education ends on September 25. Please sign up! See below for more details!
Looking ahead, students in grades 1-8th will be going on our bi-annual
Holy Hill trip on October 10th. Mark your calendars if you'd like to chaperone! More information will be coming soon!

Adoration For Children With Cancer ~ "Let the children come to Me"
"Let the children come to Me ...for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these." ~Mark 10:14
Join us for Adoration!
Eli Hansen, his family & Eli's Super Squad need our prayers
for strength and miraculous healing as they embark on treatment for his relapsed Neuroblastoma. We also know that many in our parish and school community are living with or have been impacted by various forms of cancer.
God calls us to love and support one another during these difficult times. On Wednesday, September 19th 2018, our school will hold its annual Childhood Cancer Awareness Mass. That week, we are asking our parish and school communities to unite in a common call to Adoration, lifting up prayers before our Lord for Eli Hansen & his family, all families facing childhood cancer, and all here at St. Anthony on the Lake Parish braving cancer and its impact.
Submit Names Of Loved Ones Impacted By Any Form Of Cancer!
Submit name(s) of loved one(s) impacted by any form of cancer to be included on a petition displayed in the Chapel before the Real Presence of Jesus to Katie McGaver, subject: "Adoration". If you have already submitted names to Annie Staebler, you do not have to do this again.
"Adoration is to enter into profound heartfelt communion with the Lord, who makes Himself bodily present in the Eucharist." ~ Pope Benedict XVI
It is important if you sign up that you keep your commitment, as the Blessed Sacrament cannot be left alone.
You are asked to stay until the adorer for the next hour arrives. If a desired time slot is filled or you can only stay a few minutes, just come! More adorers are always welcome! Come alone or with family. All ages welcome! Your prayers before Jesus are precious too! If you are a regular adorer, your name has already been added to your scheduled Adoration day and time slot.
"Let the children come to Me." Bring the children to pray, lift up the children suffering, and let all of us - His children, young and old - come... Let all God's children, let His Church, come before the Real Presence of Jesus to be healed and loved by His merciful embrace. Amen.
