CA COMMUNITY DAY RETURNS IN MID-SEPTEMBER

Mark your calendars for the return of CA Community Day on Saturday, September 15. Festivities kick off in the morning with our third annual Viking Rampage Run through Academy's woods as you and your family get the opportunity to race through obstacles (possibly with muddy and wet conditions) as you explore our 231-acre campus! Then stick around for the remainder of the day as food trucks and the ¡HOLA! fútbol tailgate will help you fuel back up to cheer on the Viking soccer and volleyball programs, as over half-a-dozen home athletic events will take place. Several other family-oriented activities will also be on campus including: Matt the Balloon Guy, a caricaturist, assorted games and prizes, and much more! Details on how to pre-register your family for the Viking Rampage Run will be made available soon.

STUDENTS CREATE MENTORING PROGRAM

During their senior year at Columbus Academy, recent graduates Addis Boyd, Karibi Hart and Herman Moultrie decided to create a group for black young men in the school to come together, socialize and create bonds. They named it "The FAM" and established a mentoring program called "Big Brothers-Little Brothers" that is a buddy system between high school and middle school males of African descent.
