December 23, 2020
Our Advent journey ends this week with our arrival at the manger, where we behold the Word made flesh, the light that shines in the darkness.

We hope you will join us online as we gather around the telling of the birth of Emmanuel, God with us, and sing again the joyous songs of Christmas!

As we prepare to receive the gift in the manger, we in turn seek to share Christmas joy with those in need this winter.

Our “Light Up a Life” offering helps shine God’s light of love on those who need it most this season, including those in need of the warmth, clothing, and nourishment provided by our Fourth Church Meals Ministry and Chicago Lights Social Service Center programs.

Gifts can be made to this offering online at www.fourthchurch.org/give-online (type “Light Up a Life” in the comments).

Gifts can also be made by writing “Light Up a Life” on the memo line of a check made payable to Fourth Presbyterian Church (and mailed to the church at 126 E. Chestnut St., Chicago, IL 60611.2014).
At the turning of the year we will come together online for our annual New Year’s Eve service in the style of Taizé.

This quiet 7:30 p.m. service offers moving music, time for prayer, and meditative pause for reflecting on the year past and looking ahead to the year to come.
