Below are several ways to help our neighbors.
September Community Lunch
On Wednesday, September 26, Topeka First United Methodist Church will be providing a lunch for our community. We are looking for volunteers to help serve and share the meal with our Topeka First UMC neighbors. Volunteers will meet at
11:00 a.m. in Fellowship Hall kitchen. Serving of the meal will begin at
11:30 a.m. and ends at
12:30 p.m. During this time, volunteers will be given the opportunity to engage and eat with our Topeka First UMC neighbors.

Harvesters Food Distribution
Volunteers are needed on Monday, October 1st to help with the distribution of food from Harvesters at the Oakland United Methodist Church,
801 NE Chester, at 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. During this opportunity you will get to engage with fellow Christians from Topeka First UMC, Kansas Ave UMC and Oakland UMC while providing food to those who come through the line. Parking is available across from the food distribution lot.

Below are opportunities to help our church strategic partners:
Doorstep, at 10th and Buchanan, needs people to sort items on Fridays from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. or any part of that time. They need people on Wednesdays from 11a.m. until 1 p.m. in the clothing bank. Topeka North Outreach (TNO) is seeking
volunteers to assist with their
Operation Backpack Assembly on the first Thursday of every month (on October 4th) at
6 p.m. at Indian Creek Elementary School,
