Greetings Ascension Church Family

I am writing once again about Ascension's stewardship campaign and we are truly blessed to have such a caring and generous congregation.

For example, last Sunday in our Thanksgiving food drive we covered the altar with over a 1000 pounds of canned food, dry goods and produce in which all of it was donated to West Houston Assistance Ministry(Wham).

This upcoming Sunday, we will have many gift bags of needed goods that will be given to various seniors in the community who are alone and have no one to care for them. Many thanks to Alan and Ann Burton for their faithful leadership of "The Forgotten Senior" program. These generous acts by all you is "Christ in Action," and I am so honored to a part of the Ascension Church Family.

Also, the generosity displayed by you through your pledges to Christ's work at Ascension has truly warmed my heart. I am pleased to announce that 40 families of Ascension Church have chosen to increase your pledge significantly. We are well on our way of to receiving God's abundance that will most likely allow us to balance our budget for 2020 where we plan to start sowing the seeds for amazing transformation at Ascension. (Please see latest stewardship results in chart below)

There a still a few of you who are very active Church members who have yet to pledge. I ask that you please consider making a stewardship gift to Christ's work among us. Also, I invite those who have never made a pledge to Ascension Church to consider making one. It is truly a gift to share in the blessings that come from giving to God's work.

Our shared gifts and offerings allows us to be part of Christ's work in West Houston through Ascension Episcopal Church and I am looking forward to see what God has in store for us in the next year.

God's Peace,

Fr. Mark+
