Message from our President

Happy Fall to you all !

2019 has been a great year for the CCGGA!The Open House was a huge success, raising over $18,000 for our scholarship fund. As a result we were able to select and award scholarships to 28 college bound high school seniors and continuing college students. The hard work and generosity of our members is much appreciated by your board and the community.

Please join me in welcoming our new grower member Cal Coast Orchids on Blue Heron Lane in Los Osos. It is a family owned and operated nursery producing sustainably grown potted orchids in aAmerican bark. I attended their open house and can attest to the high quality of their beautiful Phalaenopsis plants.

There has been a change on our board of directors. Dave Pruitt, who has served on the board for many many years and held several offices, including president, has had to resign from the board mid term. Dave has accepted a new position as the interim CEO and Ambassador of the California Cut Flower Commission. We will miss Dave's energy on the board and we wish him well. Replacing Dave on the board is Jennifer Dobbe of grower member Holland America Flowers. Jennifer will finish out Dave's term and we are exited to work with her.

Please cast your ballots for the 2020-2021 board of directors candidates.

We have a fun Annual Meeting planned for you on December 5th at the lovely Cypress Ridge Pavilion. Please join us in celebrating a successful 2019!

SLO Farm Bureau

The  Central  Coast  Greenhouse Growers Association (CCGGA) was founded to provide a cohesive organization that acts as a good neighbor within the local and regional community, providing information and education to neighbors; other community groups or businesses; and county, state, or federal agencies.

The CCGGA acts on behalf of its members in resolving issues that may arise with neighboring communities, as we work to coexist and enjoy the numerous benefits the Central Coast provides for both living and growing high-quality plants.
