Director's Note

Thanks to all who joined us for Back to School Night. Check out our links to the family portal for power point presentations and a photo recap below. 

Friendly reminder: school is closed this Wednesday.

We will test our emergency alert program on Thursday.  We will use this system to keep you up to date when there is a school closing or safety alert.  Thanks for your help with having 100% participation in this program. See details below in order to opt in to the texting portion of the program prior to our test.

Reminder to register for our September PTA meeting and special movie night.

Emergency Preparedness

We will send an emergency preparedness test out to families this Thursday, September 20th. Our system sends an email, a voicemail and a text message. Please opt in for the text now by texting "Y" to 67587.

This is a family event (not a drop off).
$10 suggested cash donation at the door per family.
Concessions available for purchase.

 
Interested in being room parents?
  • Communicate and coordinate class parties (i.e., Halloween, Valentine's Day) with teachers and parents.
  • Coordinate teacher appreciation week class gifts.
  • Help plan a few parent or family events for your class throughout the year.
  • Help promote PTA meetings, class events, and fundraisers to the families in your class.
If you are interested in being a room parent, please email Merrill Spiegel (PTA Vice President of Teacher Appreciation)  at [email protected] with your child's name, room number and teacher.


Back to School Night 2018 Recap

We are grateful to our families and staff for making Wednesday night a successful Back to School Night.  This event creates a long day for everyone and we appreciate your participation. Thank you for your on-going dedication and excellence to Ivymount.
