More than 80 Carver students, teachers and parents participated in the annual Great American River CleanUp on Saturday, Sept. 15 at River Bend Park in Rancho Cordova. What a great way to engage the world AND earn some community service hours!
Carver Wins $5K Grant
George Washington Carver School of Arts and Science has been selected to receive a $5,000 grant through Raley's Extra Credit Grant program. The funds will be used to support the renovation and maintenance of the school garden.

Help Plant Trees at Carver
On Saturday, Oct. 6 the City of Rancho Cordova will join forces with Sacramento City Unified School District to celebrate Green Apple Day of Service and plant trees at Abraham Lincoln, A.M. Winn and Carver! The day begins with a pancake breakfast hosted by Carver at 7:30 a.m. after which students, parents and faculty will drive to their respective schools to plant trees. Electric Griddles Needed for Senior Sunrise!
On Friday, Oct. 12 at 6:45 a.m. we will enjoy Senior Sunrise! All 12th graders arrive at 6:45 a.m. to see the sunrise at 7:15 a.m. and then eat a hearty breakfast.
