Courtesy of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture and the Faculty of Sciences, our film will be shown as part of Ghent University's 200th anniversary celebration. 

Leo Baekeland graduated with a doctorate from the University at the age of 21.  He was a member of 't Zal Wel Gaan  (It Will Go),  the club for liberal thinking students and professors which is still active today.
 
A reception will follow in Krook Café at De Krook located at 1 Miriam Makebaplein Ghent, Belgium 3:45 - 5:00 pm.
 
Hugh Karraker, Executive Producer  and great grandson of Leo Baekeland, will attend the event.

We've discovered that so many people, who are under the age of 50, who are not students of or working in plastics and chemistry are unfamiliar with Bakelite.  So, we've decided to add a subtitle:  All Things Bakelite: The Age of Plastic

There are two versions of the film, 21 minutes (educational/industry) and 56 minutes (full length).
