Greetings!
A little rain couldn't stop our Buckeyes from earning their first B1G win vs. Rutgers, 52-3, on Saturday. Even the redshirt freshman quarterback, Tate Martell, earned some playing time during this win...he even earned himself B1G co-Freshman of the Week honors

However, this week is a big test for our Buckeyes as they travel to the location of their 2014 National Championship to take on a team they just barely edged out of the College Football Playoff: the No. 15 TCU Horned Frogs. Join us for the 8pm kickoff at
Malta Recovery Sports Grill (address below)! Per our Watch Party tradition, we will be doing our usual halftime raffle of Buckeye prizes in an effort to raise money for our scholarship fund!

A Successful Alumni Symposium for our Club Leaders

Club President, Mary Thomas, and Club Publicity Chair, Jason Homan, road-tripped to Columbus last week to take part in the annual Alumni Association Symposium for Club & Society Leaders. This is a 2-day educational experience that allows leaders and staff from the Alumni Association to share best practices and updates with each other. Mary holds our official "Outstanding Club" certificate for 2018. Our club earned this honor by completing service and event requirements established by the Association. We couldn't have achieved this without your support and involvement!

Two of our local sophomore students, Paige Gunderman (back right) & Sija Los (front right), joined Mary and Jason for a late dinner at Sloopy's Diner in the Ohio Union after Day 1 of the Symposium. They LOVE Ohio State and are both getting involved in activities outside of their classes.

President of the University, Michael V. Drake, provided updates and spoke about the vision of Ohio State at the conclusion of the symposium. He focused on current initiatives to lower the rate of Buckeyes graduating with student debt through the elimination of unnecessary fees and expanding scholarship awards to those students that need it most.

A trip to Columbus wouldn't be complete without tickets to a football game - don't worry, Mary and Jason paid for these themselves!
Overall, it was a very successful trip, and Mary and Jason are excited to share what they've learned with the rest of our Board to implement at the benefit of our entire club. To see more pictures of their trip,

Our Hoffman Car Wash fundraiser has a officially begun!
Click here to purchase, download, and print your vouchers. 50% of the proceeds go towards our scholarship fund. It's inevitable that your car will get dirty...why not wash it while helping out a great cause like our scholarship fund?

Ongoing Community Service Project at Watch Parties
|
Our Club collects non-perishable items for the
Fisher House and
Guardian House, as part of an ongoing community service project. Both locations offer support for local Veterans and rely on support from their local communities. Please consider bringing
paper goods (paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissue), laundry and dish soaps, shampoo and other toiletries, Saran Wrap, resealable plastic bags, etc. to any of our Watch Parties in Malta to help with this project. Thanks for considering and Go Bucks!
