As we look ahead to 2020, please join us for the launch of a series of exhibitions recognizing the bicentennial of Maine statehood and the important role it has played in fostering creativity. In December, we turn our attention to the legacy of the artist, inventor, and publisher, Rufus Porter. In addition, we trace the growth of nineteenth-century Bowdoin College through the pictorial record made possible by the birth of lithography. As always, history prompts us to examine the present, and we reflect on the innovative use of the Museum's collections in teaching today at Bowdoin. Finally, we celebrate the festive season with music, presentations, and receptions. Happy holidays to all!
