Women Build 2019
Welcome Home, Garcia Family! 

Lorena Garcia and her three children Miguel (17), Marissa (11), and Maya (7), moved into their new home in the Aspire Community Development on Saturday, October 12, 2019. It was a beautiful Fall day during which the sun made a brief appearance. There were many friends, family, and MacHabitat supporters in attendance. Women Build Committee Chair Patty Haddeland recognized Lorena for her hard work on the house and dedication to the process. Both Lorena and Miguel spent many tireless hours working to help build their new home. MacHabitat founder, Bernie Turner, was on hand to offer a blessing for the home. In honor of Washington Roofing Company’s commitment to MacHabitat since its inception by providing roofs (and now gutters!) free of charge, co-owner Scott Daniels presented Lorena with keys to the family's new home. It was a spectacular day!

Hope Builders Breakfast
On September 19, the McMinnville Grand Ballroom was filled with MacHabitat supporters for our Hope Builders Breakfast. It had been over five years since the last event, formerly known as the Dream Builders Breakfast, and was a great opportunity for folks to learn more about what we are doing and how they can help! 
Habitat homeowner Becka Morgan shared how owning a home gave her the capacity to take charge of her life and make changes she never thought were possible! We also premiered our new video, which you can watch by clicking here . A special shout out to Jake Hinmon of Four Plus One Productions for creating such a super piece! 
Thanks to the incredible generosity of those gathered and our sponsors ( US Bank , First Federal , Kurt & Kori Huppert, Gormley Plumbing , Lee & Erma Vasquez, and Harvest Fresh ), we raised over $50,000 in cash and pledges in one morning! As a small token of our appreciation, our guests received adorable note cards with pictures drawn by our Habitat kids. 
MacHabitat's 24th Annual Nick's Dinner & Auction
Some Enchanted Evening!

On November 5, MacHabitat supporters took over Nick’s Italian Café for the 24 th year in a row for our favorite Dinner & Auction.  Our inimitable Nick's Committee (Joanie Drabkin, Patty Haddeland, Ann Russell, and Tara Quincy) put together an amazing evening, starting with a reception at Peirano & Daughters and Ransom Wine Co. & Spirits Tasting Room , featuring a silent auction with incredible hors d'oeuvres, tasty Bubbly from R. Stuart & Co. Winery , and special Ransom cocktails. The party then moved next door for an exceptional dinner prepared by Chef Carmen Peirano, paired with spectacular wines from  Eyrie Vineyards,

A quick live auction added to the festivities, bringing the total raised for the evening to over $30,000! Thanks to all who attended and donated. A special thanks to Carmen and her terrific kitchen crew and wait staff, who so generously donate their time to this event every year.
