Week of April 5th, 2021
"You can cut all the flowers but you cannot keep the Spring from coming."

--Pablo Neruda
Our man on the street wasn't available to finish the "Get to Know Me" segment for this week. We thought about having Jen Swicker fill in using one of her less serious impressions, but at the end we decided to wait at least this week. If our guy can't be back in the driver's seat by next week, we'll unloose the Swicker!

BUT-- there are entirely too many Easter Bunny-related pictures and a couple videos at the bottom of this newsletter (if you like that kind of thing). It's hard to explain social distancing to the big EB -- bit of a diva-- but as you can see, everyone stayed masked up
& we did our best to Purell EB between selfies!

Christine & Michelle day-tripped up to AbilityWorks' new sensory space last week and enjoyed exploring its features. We think it is awesome that
they make it available to anyone in the community.

CLI is looking for people interested in being part of a new advisory commitee for CLI's Therapeutic Day Program. The mission of this new committee will be to help us expand meaningful, community-forward and therapeutic day programming for people. This is a long-term goal of course, but thanks to a generous donation by the estate of Bill Pietz of West Seneca, New York, we actually have some earmarked capital to do something cool.

Anyone interested in being part of this should
contact Holly Binkley at 419-541-6304.
Usual Excuses & Apologies:

I hope that everyone had a nice Easter weekend. The weather was beautiful. I grew up pretty churchy, so Easter was always a pretty significant holiday for me anyway, but especialy because my parents were anti-sugar except for Easter, Halloween & Christmas. Otherwise it whatever you could find thrown from parade trucks or filch from my grandmother's fancy glass jar of big fruit gumdrops. It's been a few years since I've gotten any hollow chocolate bunnies, but I still have that pavlovian response.
This is a short week for CLI with almost all programs closed today (Monday).

Just a reminder that CLI is looking for 4 Summer Youth Job Coaches (seasonal) and 1 full-time Recreational Therapist.

You can find both of these postings at CLIsupports.com.

Thanks (and wash your hands).

HAPPY EASTER!!!

I hope everyone was able to enjoy the lovable rabbit that graces us with his presence every year. I have to say, he is not fake.
When I was young, I woke up early one Easter morning and caught a glimpse of him hiding our eggs.

I promised the results of our annual drop off and here they are. We had 36 customers and collected 10,500 pounds of paper to shred. That may not sound like a lot of paper but it will save 89.25 trees.

Production:
We completed 29,000 units and shredded 16,000 pounds of paper last week.

I hope everyone enjoyed April Fool’s day as much as I did.

Our next monthly drop off day is 4/7 and the proceeds from that day will be going to the McGuan Park project.
THE NOTORIOUS EB's IN THE HOUSE!
The FREE Good Works Cafe runs every Friday at 11:30 am until they run out of food.
